Growth comes in many forms. These pieces can mean something different to each person. For me, they represent a need to shift our focus from self as an individual to self in connection with the planet we live on, which we are killing everyday. By combining plants with the human body I hoped to present how planting (not sure if pun intended) our identity in nature could lead to a transforming appreciation for the planet. Perhaps this change in perspective could instigate a change in our hearts and subsequently our actions. They also represent vulnerability as I explore the female body in a way that is not sexualised but natural.
